Remembering our founder and our friend
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our firm’s founder, Jerry Lynch.
Jerry started New England Asset Management in 1984 and served as its Chairman & CEO until his retirement in 2014. It is impossible to articulate the impact that Jerry had on our business. With his vision, leadership and incredible work ethic, Jerry was able to build a truly durable franchise. His most enduring legacy is the culture he created and nourished. Jerry knew that above all, in business and in life, the most important thing was how you treat people. Always thoughtful and respectful, Jerry had a unique way of connecting with people and that was the foundation for much of the firm’s success.
We have lost a mentor, a leader, a role model and a friend. Unfortunately, the conditions of the day prevent us from gathering and remembering Jerry as we normally would. In time, we will have the proper celebration of his life, but until then below is a short tribute to Jerry and the lasting impact he has had on us all.
