GR–NEAM Hires Harold Hawkins

Farmington, CT, September 19, 2011 … Mr. Jerry Lynch, Chairman and CEO of General Re–New England Asset Management, Inc. (GR–NEAM) announced that Mr. Harold Hawkins has joined GR–NEAM as a Municipal Bond Asset Class Specialist. Mr. Hawkins is responsible for management, trading and surveillance of GR–NEAM’s municipal bond portfolio, reporting to Vincent J. DeLucia, Asset Class Specialist, GR–NEAM.

Mr. Hawkins has over 9 years of investment industry experience and began his investment career as a municipal bond trader at Duration Capital Management, a hedge fund located in the Philadelphia area. Prior to joining GR–NEAM, Mr. Hawkins worked at the Hartford Investment Management Company as a municipal bond trader and co-managed the company's municipal bond portfolio. Mr. Hawkins graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.S. degree in Analytical Finance and earned his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
